Lifecycle Events release notes

  • The ServiceNow® Lifecycle Events application is designed for managing HR cases that are long term in nature. These HR cases include, but aren’t limited to, onboarding, offboarding, parental leave of absence, and performance improvement plans. Lifecycle Events was enhanced and updated in the Zurich release.

    Lifecycle Events highlights for the Zurich release

    • Enable logging and use it as a tool to diagnose problems or to acquire pertinent information about the processes that ran in a Lifecycle Events case.
    • Effectively troubleshoot the root cause of an issue that is adversely affecting a Lifecycle Events case.

    New in the Zurich release

    Lifecycle Events logging
    Capture events that occur in a Lifecycle Events case by enabling logging for the Lifecycle Events application. Give organization administrators the ability to view the event logs that are generated to identify errors or to acquire information about the processes that ran in a Lifecycle Events case.

    UI changes

    HR Lifecycle Events Case Logs table
    Lifecycle Events records each log entry to the HR Lifecycle Events Case Logs [sn_hr_le_case_log] table. Lifecycle Events administrators can access this table by selecting Show execution logs from the Related Links section in a Lifecycle Events case.

    Activation information

    Install Lifecycle Events by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.
