  • The ServiceNow® Instance Scan engine is used to interrogate your instance for configurations that indicate health issues and identify opportunities to address ideal configurations. Instance Scan was enhanced and updated in the Zurich release.

    Instance Scan highlights for the Zurich release

    • Scan your instance, update set, scoped application, or specific record using specified checks.
    • Run custom checks against your existing configurations.
    • Use as a tool in your development operations, release management, as well as pre- and post-upgrades.

    New in the Zurich release

    Scan cancellation
    Cancel or abort an ongoing scan by either selecting Cancel Scan in the scan execution modal or the Cancel Scan related link in the results record.
    Queuing of scans
    Leverage the scan queue feature to line up your scans for automatic execution following the current scan.

    UI changes

    Coral theme
    Coral is now the default theme for new portal, web, and mobile experiences with Next Experience or Core UI enabled. This theme provides a fresh look and feel, featuring brand-neutral illustrations to enhance your user experience. A dark theme option is available for web and mobile experiences.

    Activation information

    Instance Scan is a ServiceNow AI Platform feature that is active by default.
