- Set up business objects
- Create a visual overview of the sales process hierarchy by defining and setting up business object groups of sales entities and their relationship with other entities. For example, an opportunity-to-cash business object group could include business entities such as an opportunity, opportunity line, opportunity task, quote, order, and so on.
- Create sales process records
- Enable sales managers and contract administrators to create sales process records for individual accounts.
- Monitor sales process using sales dashboard
- Enable sales managers and contract administrators to view and manage the sales process from a single interface. The dashboard provides the following capabilities:
- Visualize the sales process in a node map, showing relationships between different sales entities in a hierarchical format.
- Toggle between hard links (actively monitored) and soft links (database relationships) to manage the monitoring scope.
- Use checklists to capture the steps and activities required for a sales process.
- View details for each of the associated sales entities, such as line items, tasks, emails, activities, and line characteristics.
- View, upload, and download files and attachments related to the sales process record or child entities.
- Customize the sales dashboard

- Customize the number of levels displayed in the nodal hierarchy by configuring the sn_l2c_cockpit.node_default_levels system property.
- Customize the details you want to display on the node map tiles using decision tables.
- Create predefined filters to consolidate and view hard-linked records-related tasks. For example, you could create a new filter option to filter in-progress tasks.
- Create business process tasks
- Sales managers and contract administrators can create business process tasks and associate them with sales process records or business process records. The linked business process task can be viewed on the Tasks tab of the sales process record.
