Publish a draft Data Manager policy in CMDB Workspace

  • If you created a draft Data Manager policy in CMDB Workspace, or imported legacy certification schedules, you can activate that draft policy by publishing it.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_cmdb_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Workspaces > CMDB Workspace and then select Management in the CMDB Workspace menu bar.
    2. Select the Data Manager link in Management tools, in the Manage section.
    3. Select Policies in the left-side bar in the Data Manager overview page.
    4. Select the Draft policies list view on the Data Manager policies page.
    5. Select the policy that you want to publish and then, on the policy form, select Edit Policy.
    6. Review any policy settings by selecting the pages to review in the left-side bar.
    7. Select Review in the left-side bar and then, on the Review form select:
      1. Publish Policy to activate the policy.
      2. Save & Exit to save any changes and keep the policy in draft mode.

    What to do next

    Deactivate a policy to temporarily prevent the policy from running:
    1. On the Policies page, select the Published policies list view.
    2. Select a policy that you want to deactivate.
    3. On a policy form select Deactivate Policy.
