  • You can translate Service Catalog items into multiple languages using the ServiceNow® Localization Framework.

Localization Framework standardizes and enhances the translation process of artifacts such as Service Catalog items through configurable workflows. For more information, see the Localization Framework topic. You can translate Service Catalog items by activating the Localization Framework Installer plugin (com.glide.localization_framework.installer). For information about the plugin activation, see the Activation of Localization Framework topic.

You can request translation for a single or multiple items from a catalog item list. For more information, see Request translations for Service Catalog items
    Note:
    • When you translate a catalog item from a form or list, the corresponding variables, variable sets, catalog client scripts and catalog UI polices associated with the catalog item also get translated.
    • You can create catalog items only in the primary language. If you change the language and edit a catalog item using catalog builder, the corresponding content of the catalog item does not get translated.

You can monitor the overall localization health of the Service Catalog items from the Localization Insights dashboard. The dashboard provides the localization health of the system with reports that are generated from the localization insights records as per the scheduled jobs.
