App Engine Management Center release notes
The ServiceNow® App Engine Management Center (AEMC) application enables admins to manage app development from intake through production. AEMC was enhanced and updated in the Zurich release.
AEMC highlights for the Zurich release
- Manage deployments using the new ReleaseOps integration in AEMC. ReleaseOps enables the deployment of update sets via a pipeline and leverages the automation capabilities of ServiceNow Playbooks for deployments that are less manual and error-prone.

New in the Zurich release
- Use AEMC to manage app delegation, development, and deployment
- AEMC is a centralized tool for IT admins and developers to manage the entire app development life cycle, from idea submission to deployment and monitoring. AEMC enhances efficiency and governance, and provides clear insights into custom app usage and developer productivity.
- ReleaseOps integration
- Starting with version 28.2.1 of AEMC, you can deploy using ReleaseOps. ReleaseOps enables the deployment of update sets via a pipeline and leverages the automation capabilities of ServiceNow Playbooks.
- Migrate App Engine pipelines to ReleaseOps
- Starting with version 28.2.1 of AEMC, migrate your existing App Engine pipelines to ReleaseOps to take advantage of ReleaseOps features without disrupting your existing pipeline and deployment process.

- Starting with version 28.2.1 of AEMC, you can manage your ReleaseOps deployments in the Release management tab of AEMC.
Activation information
Install AEMC by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store.
Starting with version 28.2.1 of AEMC, you can use ReleaseOps pipelines or migrate your existing App Engine pipelines to ReleaseOps. To use ReleaseOps, you must install ReleaseOps by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.
