It started simply: We needed answers

How effectively are we serving our customers and employees? Resolving issues? Building products? Managing risk? Our success as a business is guided by these kinds of questions, which get at the heart of how well we're mapping strategy to action.

But it was difficult to find the answers. Our data was spread across dozens of systems, many of which were only accessible to certain people in certain departments. Without a single source of truth, it was challenging to measure progress and drive alignment, top-down and laterally, to strategic business priorities.

The dashboards power our entire business

We wanted to be able to bring together business-critical data from disparate systems and put it at our leadership teams' fingertips. We envisioned a hub for insights to action, where decision-making was easier and pivots could be made more quickly.

The ServiceNow platform provided the intelligence, experience and automation we needed to make our vision a reality. We built the C-suite dashboards—eight and counting—to use at ServiceNow and to offer to our customers from the ServiceNow app store. Each dashboard is fully customisable and designed to help answer the questions that most matter to any given department or leader.

In addition to the C-suite dashboards, we've built and use department dashboards to help teams share information, collaborate and identify next best actions based on real-time data and insights. Our workflow dashboards combine workflow key performance indicators (KPIs), process maps and process optimisation tool sets to help us measure efficiency levels and accelerate and streamline the flow of work.
