Modernising IT for an innovative university
By reinventing higher education to fit the needs of today's students and workforce, Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) ensures that students are keeping pace with new technologies and professional requirements. But to accomplish this mission, SNHU needed to modernise the way IT was servicing the business, while continuing to serve its students at the highest level.
The university underwent a digital transformation journey with ServiceNow, automating and optimising its technology service operations and transforming its enterprise security. The ServiceNow platform provides the entry point for students to work with the service desk, library services, and the university’s registrar—all in one place. Every aspect of a student’s journey is searchable through the service portal.
SNHU’s enterprise security has transformed via the ServiceNow platform, with an extreme risk reduction of vulnerabilities within the SNHU ecosystem. In a typical 90-day period, SNHU’s IT team mitigated 2,700 vulnerabilities. Its ServiceNow solutions help the university identify, from a security and compliance perspective, which areas require focus and critical analysis.
