Working with AI asset records
An asset record consolidates the state of a single AI asset and the actions you can take on it, so you can understand the asset's situation and respond from one page.
Overview of working with AI asset records
AI stewards typically open an asset record after a portfolio view, recommendation, or task points them to a specific AI asset. The record brings together everything happening with that asset, including its scores, lifecycle position, connected assets, and pending work. It also provides the actions to respond to what needs attention, without piecing data together from monitoring dashboards, task queues, and inventory lists.
-
Reviewing AI asset status
Check the governance posture, pending work, key details, and value delivered by an asset at a glance from the Overview tab, and act on what needs attention without leaving the record.
-
Managing AI asset details
Keep an asset's metadata, use and purpose values, related assets, and supporting documents accurate over time so risk classifications, audit responses, and ownership stay current.
-
Managing your AI asset lifecycle
Advance an asset through its Onboard, Maintain, and Retire stages, work through the playbook tasks generated for each stage, and initiate change or offboarding requests from the Maintain stage.
- Planning AI work from Inventory in AI Control Tower
Track the strategic priorities, goals, targets, demands, and projects tied to an asset across the Strategize, Prioritize, and Execute sub-tabs on the Plan tab.
-
Governing AI assets
Review an asset's regulatory risk classification, compliance score against frameworks like the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF, residual and inherent risk posture, and the AI cases, controls, and policy exceptions associated with it.
-
Monitoring an AI system
Investigate an asset's quality and safety performance in detail, including which metrics are pulling scores up or down, how performance is trending over time, and which sessions need attention.
-
Viewing value metrics for an AI system
Quantify the productivity gains, AI cost, net AI returns, and engagement metrics an asset has delivered over a date range you select.
-
Viewing templates associated with an AI system
View the value, quality, and safety templates mapped to an asset, and map a different template when the current one no longer reflects how productivity should be calculated.
-
Governing AI asset security
Review your asset's security score, access issues, and security events, and see how it relates to other AI agents in the AI agent map.
