Summary of Hide supplier pricing from ShoppingHub
ServiceNow administrators can control the visibility of supplier pricing in ShoppingHub by configuring model categories. Supplier pricing displayed in ShoppingHub represents contractually agreed prices between you and your suppliers. Based on business requirements, you can choose to hide or show these prices for supplier products within specific model categories.
When pricing is hidden for a category, all associated shipping and tax information is also concealed. If model categories are organized in parent-child relationships, the pricing visibility setting on a child category overrides that of its parent.
Pricing Visibility Impact Areas
When pricing is hidden for a product category, the following areas in ShoppingHub and related interfaces will not display pricing details:
- Product information cards in the ShoppingHub catalog
- Product details, categories, and role-based suggestions on landing pages
- Supplier product cards in ShoppingHub and Virtual Agent
- Shopping cart product header cards
- Summary sections during full checkout and Virtual Agent checkout
- Quick checkout overlays and purchase confirmation pages
- Price-related fields in My Purchases list view and purchase details pages (desktop and mobile)
- Activity streams in My Purchases and My To-Dos
- Pre-payment and negotiated unit cost fields in purchase details
- Approval to-dos and blanket purchase list views (including mobile views)
- Invoice acknowledgment and receipt acknowledgment price fields (mobile)
- Milestones and payout amount fields (mobile)
- Standard search results and AI search results in Employee Center, Virtual Agent, ShoppingHub, and Service Portal
Note: Even if pricing is hidden, products can still be sorted or filtered by price range in ShoppingHub search results. In such cases, hidden pricing products may be excluded or ordered accordingly.
Exceptions and Special Cases
- Approvers can always see pricing on approval to-dos to make informed decisions.
- If pricing display is set to "No," select-a-supplier to-dos are assigned to buyers instead of submitters. However, if reassigned back to the submitter, the price becomes visible to them.
- Shoppers with allocated store credits can view pricing even when it is hidden for others.
- This pricing visibility setting does not impact backend flows such as checkout or sourcing processes.
- The feature applies only when using the Source-to-Pay Common Architecture plugin and not the Shopping Hub plugin.
When creating model categories for grouping your product models, you can decide if pricing is to be displayed in ShoppingHub for supplier products associated to a particular category.
The pricing that is displayed for supplier products on ShoppingHub is an agreed-upon contractual price between you and the supplier. As an administrator, based on your business requirement, you can decide if this pricing needs to be displayed or hidden in your ShoppingHub catalog for supplier products associated to a particular category. If you decide to hide the pricing, the shipping and taxes involved are also hidden. If there are parent and child categories, the display pricing choice made on the child category overrides its parent.

For sort by price low to high, for example, request pricing products are displayed first, followed by pricing hidden products, and products with price. For filter by price range, if the minimum price range is greater than zero, pricing hidden products are hidden along with request pricing products.
However, when an approval to-do is created, the pricing is visible to the approver so that an informed decision can be taken on the approval request. If display pricing is set to No, then the select a supplier to-do is assigned to the buyer instead of the person who submitted it. But, if the buyer reassigns it to the submitter, the latter can view the price in the to-do in ShoppingHub. This is applicable to both desktop and mobile versions.
Also, if you’re a shopper with store credits allocated to you, you can view the pricing details even though the pricing is otherwise hidden.
