Enable map accessibility features

  • Maps can use patterns or colors to identify locations. The accessibility toggle in the mobile device settings page controls how the map identifies locations.

    About this task

    When reserving space, the map accessibility toggle gives you the option to identify map locations with colors or with black and white patterns. Using black and white patterns assists users with accessibility requirements.

    Procedure

    1. Log in to a ServiceNow mobile app.
    2. On the navigation bar, tap the settings icon (Settings icon.).
    3. Navigate to Preferences > Office map preferences > Map display.
    4. In the Map display section of the page, enable the Use patterns for accessibility toggle to view locations on maps in black and white patterns.

      Note:
      Don't enable this toggle if you want to view locations on maps highlighted with colors.

    Result

    Select the map display option best suited for your requirements.
