Configure global search options, using the Zing search engine, to control how your
app presents search results to your users.

Procedure

Navigate to .
The Mobile App Builder opens in a new browser tab and
displays the application scope selection screen.

Search for the application scope you are working in and then select the name of
the application scope.
The Mobile App Builder categories home screen
displays.

Select the Screens menu and then search for the launcher screen where you want to add search functionality.

In the Launcher Screen form, scroll down to the Search configuration section:
- Select Choose.

In the Choose an item dialog box, select a search configuration, and then select Apply.
If you aren't certain about which search configuration to choose, select Preview to view the configuration.
- Select the search configuration that you chose, which launches the Search Config form.
- In the Search Config form, locate the Placeholder section under Properties.

In the Placeholder text box, enter the text that you want to appear in the search bar before a user enters a value into the field, and then press Tab.

In the Settings section, select Interleave result to display interleaved search results.
If the option is not selected, search results are separated by the search source.

Select Save in Mobile App Builder.
