Find and reserve an indoor resource

    • View an interactive map of the interior of your building to locate available resources such as desks or conference rooms. After locating a resource, you can then reserve it.

    About this task

    Use interactive maps of your building to locate and reserve available resources as shown in this image, which shows available desks that can be reserved:

    Procedure

    1. Open your ServiceNow mobile app on your device.
    2. In the Quick links, select Make a reservation.

      Shows the 'Make a reservation' option on a mobile app.

    3. Select the type of reservation, such as desks, rooms, lockers, or parking places.

    4. Select a quick reservation or browse resources to see what's available.

    5. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Building Building where you want to reserve the asset.
      Floor Floor where you want to reserve the asset.
      Reservation start Start time of the reservation.
      Reservation end End time of the reservation. This field is automatically set to an hour after the start time.
      Capacity Capacity of the reservation.
      Note:
      If you are using an iOS device, tap on Done after specifying the capacity.
      Toggle Map view Option to view the available reservations using a map view instead of a list view. This toggle is available only if activated by your organization.

      Floor and capacity options are available to help find resources easier.

    6. Optional: Select the options menu icon (Options menu icon) so that you can view the map legend to learn what the map icons mean.
    7. Select an available resource on the map and verify it is the resource that you want to reserve.

    8. Verify the reservation details and either revise or submit.
      • If you must change something, select Previous to return to the selection screens.
      • If you are satisfied with your reservation, select Submit.

    Result

    After you receive confirmation of your reservation on your device, the reservation is complete. You can use your reservation.
