Key Features
- Microsoft Intune Integration: ServiceNow offers Mobile Agent and Now Mobile apps designed to work with Microsoft Intune from the Madrid release onward. Intune allows policy enforcement such as app protection without device enrollment, copy/paste restrictions, attachment control, remote wipe, and conditional access.
- iOS App Registration Requirement: Starting in the second half of 2024, Microsoft mandates that iOS Intune apps must be registered with Microsoft Entra ID to function correctly within Intune. Publicly distributed apps must be registered in the Microsoft tenant before distribution, while privately distributed apps require administrator consent prior to distribution.
- BlackBerry Dynamics Integration: ServiceNow apps compatible with BlackBerry Dynamics are available since the Madrid release, supporting similar MAM features including app protection without device enrollment, copy/paste restrictions, attachment control, remote wipe, and dynamic VPN.
- Policy Management: Administrators use the respective Intune or BlackBerry Dynamics portals and SDKs to set and enforce app-level policies, ensuring secure access and data handling on mobile devices.
- Bundle and Package IDs: To apply policies effectively, MAM solutions require the specific app bundle or package IDs. ServiceNow provides documentation to assist with these identifiers.

Microsoft Intune
Microsoft requires iOS Intune apps to be registered with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Microsoft Entra ID) in the second half of the calendar year 2024. Apps that are not registered will fail the Microsoft Intune login flow.
- Publicly distributed iOS apps must be registered in your Microsoft tenant after the build is created and before distribution of the app.
- Privately distributed iOS apps must get your Microsoft Entra ID administrator's consent. This can be done at any point in the app build process, but must be done before distribution of the app.
- Microsoft website explaining the requirement and the timeline.
- Microsoft Entra ID App Registration Mandate for iOS Intune Mobile Apps - Mobile Publishing (KB1640759). (You must have an account and log in to view this ServiceNow KB.)
