Accessing and posting to the mobile activity stream
Use the activity stream to submit and list work notes, files, images, and videos to a record within your mobile app.

About this task
An activity stream enables you to communicate with other users about the work done on a record.
Procedure

Access the activity stream screen segment for a record by opening a record and
tapping the Activity Stream tab.
Note:The default tab name is activity stream, but your administrator might have changed it to a name like Updates, History, or Notes. The example in the above image uses the name Updates for the activity stream.

Tap an icon displayed within the ribbon in the record title bar to post items
to the activity stream.
Activity stream item Procedure Text - Tap the Add comment button.
- On the Compose screen, enter your text in the work notes area.
- (Optional) Enable the Share Comments button if you want all users on the instance to see your comment.
- Tap Post to save your message in the activity stream.
Files - Tap the file icon (
).
- Browse to the files that you want to post.
- Tap Add.
An upload screen opens, detailing the upload progress of the files you selected. In cases where files fail to upload, you are presented with information detailing the reason for the unsuccessful post.
Multimedia files - Tap the image icon (
).
- Tap on the images and videos that you want to post to the activity stream.
- Tap Add.
An upload screen opens, detailing the upload progress of the multimedia files you selected. In cases where files fail to upload, you are presented with information detailing the reason for the unsuccessful post.
Captured photo or video - Tap the camera icon (
).
- Select to either take a photo or record a video and then use your mobile device to perform one of those actions.
- Approve the photo or video.
The photo or video automatically posts to the activity stream.
