Karel van der Poel is Senior Vice President Products at ServiceNow.

Karel is a serial Entrepreneur turned Intrapreneur at ServiceNow. Karel originally worked and founded several startups and an early stage VC firm / business incubator. His last business was a cloud based analytics SaaS Provider called Mirror42, acquired by ServiceNow in 2013.

Ever since joining ServiceNow, Karel has been given the charter to boost organic growth and expand ServiceNow's product portfolio by starting and scaling new ServiceNow products and businesses. Today this program is called NowX.

Operating as the product incubator of ServiceNow, NowX has developed and released products including Procurement, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Legal, Business Continuity Management, Industry Solutions, Supply Chain Exception Management (SCEM), Accounts Payable (APO), Health and Safety, robotic process automation (RPA) and Process Mining. Recently, two of those products, APO and SCEM, have graduated from their incubation phase to continue maturation and development in their respective department, the Finance and Supply Chain Workflow group.

Additionally, over the last year, Karel has brought on two newly acquired businesses, including G2K, an AI-powered IoT leader to continue delivering innovative solutions in retail and other industries, as well as UltimateSuite to continue enhancing process mining and intelligent automation on the Now Platform.

Today Karel is responsible for continuing the organic portfolio expansion success story of ServiceNow via the NowX program.
