Configure branding for your self-configured bot

  • Configure your self-configured Slack app's branding. You have the flexibility to customize the default ServiceNow branding for the Slack self-configured bot name and icon.

    Before you begin

    Ensure that you have completed integrating Virtual Agent with a Self-configured bot in Slack before customizing the branding options.

    Role required: admin

    Procedure

    1. Log in to the Slack admin center.
    2. Select Your apps and select a bot from for which you want to change the branding settings.
    3. Navigate to Settings > Basic Information > Display Information.
    4. In the Display Information section, you can update the following details:
      1. App name: Name of your Self-configured bot.
      2. Short description: A short sentence describing your Self-configured bot.
      3. App icon & Preview: Image representing your Self-configured bot on the conversation body.
        Note:
        Ensure that the image you would like to upload as the app icon is in squares between 512 px by 512 px and 2000 px by 2000 px.
      4. Background color: Background color of your bot icon while on the conversation body.
      5. Long description: Description of your Self-configured bot to show on your App Detail page.
    5. Select Save Changes.
