To initiate the workflow:
- Navigate to the Software Asset Workspace in one of the following locations:
- License usage > Removal candidates
- License usage > Publishers > Removal candidates tab
- Select Evaluate removal candidates.
- Click the Otto icon in the top-right corner to open the agent panel.
- Choose the product to evaluate for removal candidates. The product selection prompt adapts based on the page from which you started:
- From Removal candidates page: all publishers’ products are shown.
- From Publisher details page: products are filtered to that publisher.
- From software model results tab: only removal candidates for the selected product are shown.
- Submit your selection to start the AI agent’s evaluation process.
The AI agent performs multiple intelligent checks, including verifying product ID, software type (installed or subscription), last usage, and other usage metrics. If any check fails, an error message appears, stopping the workflow. If checks succeed, you receive the count of removal candidates identified and can confirm to initiate reclamation.
After reclamation, the system updates the removal candidate records with work notes in the Activity tab, providing an audit trail of actions taken.

Any removal candidates that is in the Ready state can be reclaimed
- In the Software Asset Workspace, navigate to one of these pages:
- Select Evaluate removal candidates.
- Select the Otto icon
icon on the top right side of the workspace.
The panel prompts you to select a product for evaluating software removal candidates.
The prompt changes based on the page from where you initiated the agentic workflow:- If you start from the Removal candidates page, you are prompted to choose a product from all the available publishers.
- If you start from the Publisher details page, the products are narrowed down to the specific publisher.
- If you start from the software model results tab within the Publisher details page, you are prompted to select removal candidates only for that particular product.
- Select a product and then select Submit.
The AI agent initiates a series of checks using multiple criteria, assessing factors such as the product ID, whether it's installed or subscription-based software, and its last usage, among other metrics. If any check fails, the panel displays an error message indicating that the workflow cannot continue. If all the checks are successful, a message appears indicating the number of removal candidates identified for the particular product. You are then asked if you would like to reclaim the software. If you confirm, the reclamation process begins. After the process is complete, you are informed about all the removal candidates that were successfully reclaimed for the specific product.
Once a removal candidate has been reclaimed by the agentic workflow, the Activity tab in the removal candidate record is updated with relevant work notes.
