Steve Walters is President of the Americas at ServiceNow, leading the company's largest geographic region. In this role, he is responsible for driving growth across all market segments in North and South America.

Steve joined ServiceNow in 2020 as Vice President of U.S. Federal and quickly expanded his leadership to include State & Local Government, Higher Education and Global Public Sector. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Public Sector, where he led one of the fastest-growing and most mission-driven businesses in the company—delivering impactful, AI-powered solutions to government and education customers worldwide.

Prior to joining ServiceNow, Steve spent nine years at Microsoft in various senior leadership roles, including General Manager of the Civilian Agencies business unit and Senior Director for the U.S. Army and Joint Account teams. During his tenure, he drove strategic agreements and enterprise deployments across the Department of Defense and Federal space.

Earlier in his career, Steve held a senior account executive role at Hewlett-Packard, managing all U.S. defence accounts worldwide for HP's Information Management Division. His work helped expand software adoption across every Combatant Command and launched some of the largest ECM/ERM efforts of the time. Before entering the private sector, Steve was a Captain in the U.S. Army, where he served in a variety of staff and leadership billets. His last assignment was as a company commander in the 101st Airborne Division.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
