The Operations tab within the AI Risk and Compliance workspace in ServiceNow offers a comprehensive view of AI systems and their governance status by state and department. This tab supports effective AI governance by providing actionable insights and drill-down capabilities into each widget's data.

Note that the dashboards, including the Operations tab, display data exclusively for Managed AI assets. Assets marked as Unmanaged are excluded from dashboard metrics but remain visible in inventory and lists. Users with the AI steward role can manage asset status.

- AI systems by state: Visualizes the count of AI systems across different lifecycle states—from new intake and governance assessment through development, review, live monitoring, and offboarding.
- Assessments: Tracks the status of risk and AI assessments, showing counts for open, in progress, overdue, and upcoming due assessments to prioritize governance actions.
- Control assurance: Displays open and overdue attestations, allowing filtering between Smart Assessment and Classic Survey methods, plus indicators of compliance failures in the past six months.
- Tracking issues: Provides counts and priority breakdowns of open, overdue, and upcoming issues to help you manage AI system risks effectively.
- Policy exceptions: Shows the number and risk rating distribution of policy exceptions, helping identify governance gaps or risks requiring attention.

The Operations tab on the AI Risk and Compliance workspace provides an overview of AI systems by state and department. You can see risk assessments, AI assessments, control assurance, and a breakdown of issues by priority and policy exceptions by risk rating. It also shows the number of AI cases by priority.
The Operations tab displays the widgets that are listed in the following table. You can drill down into the data on each widget.

| Attestations | Displays the number of attestations that are open and overdue. Drill-down to view the list of control attestations that are awaiting for response collection. Apply the search filter to view Control Attestations powered by Smart Assessment by selecting New or view Control Attestations powered by Classic Survey by selecting Classic from the drop-down menu. |
