Create a monetary benefit plan for a demand

Create and manage monetary benefit plans to track potential monetary benefits during demand execution.

Before you begin

Enable the monetary benefit plans for demands. For more information, see Enable monetary benefit plans for demands.

About this task

The monetary benefit plan breakdown records are automatically created when you save the benefit plan. The monetary benefit plan breakdown records specify the estimated and actual benefits at a granular level for specific fiscal periods, such as FY16: M04 and FY16: M05. The Monetary Benefit Plan Breakdowns tab shows the aggregated benefits for estimated and actual benefits for each fiscal period for the demand.

Note:

Converting a demand to a project or EAP entity transfers the benefit plan from the demand to the target project or EAP entity.

Procedure

1. Navigate to Workspaces > Strategic Planning Workspace.
2. Select the Demands icon .
3. Open a demand from the List page.
4. Create a monetary benefit plan using one of the following options.

   Option	Procedure
   Using the Monetary Benefit Plans tab	Select Details from the navigation menu. Select the Monetary Benefit Plans tab. Note: If the Monetary Benefit Plans tab isn't visible, select More > Monetary Benefit Plans. Select New.
   Using the Financials page	Select Financials from the navigation menu. Select New monetary benefit plan from the More actions menu.

5. On the Benefit Plan form, complete the fields.

6. Select Save.
