Document references

References are used for linking a document record to other records, which can be any other table or record on the platform.

A reference is a link or mapping between a document and a target or a parent record.

You can add references directly and view all document references in other records across the platform by navigating to Documents > References.

You can create and link document references directly from references or from the document record.

• Create document references from document record
  Link the document record to other records in any other table or record.
• Create document reference from References
  Link document references to any record directly from the References list. You can easily see all documents linked to tables and target records.
• Delete a document reference from document record
  Remove and unlink a document reference from a document record.
