As a leading provider of infrastructure solutions to several North American market sectors, including water, communications, energy, and transportation, Oldcastle struggled with their disparate product configuration systems.

With multiple configuration systems across the company, each system came with its own security standards, making it difficult to maintain and monitor security protocols across the company. These disconnected configuration systems also created a bottleneck between teams that led to slower delivery times and frustrated customers. It also did not allow customers to buy online via self-service.

The Solution: CPQ provides configure, quote, and model of all products with speed and performance

With CPQ by ServiceNow (formerly Logik.ai), Oldcastle found they could solve all of their problems with one platform, without the cost and complexity of building a custom solution.

By combining CPQ with CDS, Oldcastle now offers fast, responsive configuration with 3D visualization. CPQ handles complex calculations instantly, letting customers and sales reps build perfect-fit solutions without delays.

CPQ unifies Oldcastle’s previously siloed systems. The sales, manufacturing, billing, and administrative teams can work together efficiently and avoid bottlenecks, thanks to CPQ’s ability to collect and disperse all order-related information. BOMs are generated in CPQ and sent to SAP for manufacturing. Andere downstream data, including billing information and terms of the sale, are disseminated into other systems at the click of a button. Its API-first design eliminates slow-downs related to manual data sharing, improving internal efficiency and customer satisfaction.

With one configuration system instead of many, Oldcastle’s security team can now apply and monitor security protocols more efficiently. As an ISO-certified solution, CPQ meets Oldcastle's high security standards. The new configurator also saves money and time previously spent maintaining multiple systems, thanks to its straightforward setup and administration.

The results? Oldcastle has seen improved customer satisfaction and expects significant revenue growth as their sales process continues to improve with CPQ.
