Best Workplaces for Parents: ServiceNow employees with their families

Juggling infant feedings, school and activities drop-offs and pickups, work Zoom calls, and other everyday tasks can be challenging. That’s why parents value certain benefits when it comes to the workplace. Among them are work-life balance and paid parental leave. ServiceNow offers generous family leave, flexible personal time off, parenting support resources, and more.

Our employees agree, having earned us recognition as one of the Best Workplaces for Parents by Great Place To Work. The organization confidentially surveys and compares the responses of millions of employees at companies large and small. Our top-notch benefits, inclusive company culture, and focus on employee well-being led to this acknowledgment.

Flexible career growth

Joanna R., senior talent acquisition partner, is grateful for the company’s culture of understanding, as she often has to leave Zoom meetings or rearrange her schedule to tend to her children. “As a working single mom, it was really important to find a company that was empathetic to my situation and also encouraged my career growth,” she says.

Nikki G., senior director of marketing talent and special projects, agrees. She experienced that encouragement when her boss suggested she apply for a promotion in a different department, even though she was eight months pregnant and about to start maternity leave. “That doesn't happen in the real world! That doesn’t happen!” she remembers saying. “Being fully supported was so amazing.”

Kids inspire our work

“My kids teach me patience and how to love and support someone,” says Herb T., program manager of NextGen veteran programs. That patience, love, and support are critical to success in his role.

Trish B., director of customer advocacy, says her kids inspire her to keep learning. “I have learned new ways to look at technology and look at the world through my children, so that's a different perspective I bring into work,” she says.

Matt L., vice president of customer experience, feels the same way. His daughter “is so open to new possibilities, and it's been a great opportunity to help me just keep my mind open to new possibilities and to innovation,” he says, referring to his 4-year-old.

Parents belong here

A sense of belonging keeps Kat F., director of high-touch marketing for the UK and Ireland, excited about working for ServiceNow. “It's the first company I've worked at where I feel proud to be a working mom,” she says. “I don't hide. I don't feel guilty about being a working mom. I bring that to work, and that's because ServiceNow allows me to be myself,” she explains.

In celebration of all the parents at ServiceNow, and to continue building on our culture of belonging, we’re launching a Families at ServiceNow Belonging Group. It will provide a community for employees with kids to organize meetups, host events, and share everything from parenting tips to life hacks.
