Interns have spoken: ServiceNow is the place to be for aspiring talent. Internships give college students hands-on opportunities to explore what they might want to pursue once they graduate. Students gain invaluable real-world career experience while making memories.
We asked a few ServiceNow interns to share their experiences with us.
“The way people want you to grow and actively encourage you to be your best self here is really different than I've seen in other places,” says Gargi T., a second-year software engineering intern in Santa Clara, California. “One of the things I’ve really enjoyed about my internship this summer was hitting that rhythm with my team all over again.”
Bay Area native Kelly L. agrees. She returned as a business intelligence engineer intern with a new perspective. “In the past, like many others, I experienced imposter syndrome. But since joining ServiceNow, everybody around me has given me the confidence to be prouder of the work that I put out and to be more confident in the decisions that I make,” she says.
When talent brand intern Layla Y. started researching companies, she wanted to find more than a job; she wanted a community. It didn’t take long for her to realize that reality at ServiceNow.
“The second week of my internship, there was a petting zoo, where they brought in alpacas and a bunch of little animals,” she says. “But the best part of it was that everyone brought their kids to the event. It really showed that ServiceNow is a community, not just a company.”
Eesha B., a global sales development intern in Staines, UK, found comfort in the bond between her manager and her team. “It's more someone that helps guide you and helps you progress in your job than someone who's there to tell you what to do,” she explains. “I think that's why people progress so quickly, because they're learning from other people around them.”
Sairah J., a financial accounting intern in India, agrees. “I’ve found that there’s no barriers in asking questions. My manager is super approachable, and it just makes the journey so much easier,” she says.
Another perk of being an intern is the opportunity to meet like-minded people who start as co-workers but quickly become friends. Nigeria native Inioluwa A. loved his first year in America, but interning at ServiceNow was the cherry on top, he says.
“I've been able to explore the Bay Area and see a lot of cool stuff right here. I've made a lot of great friends here that I think will also be lifelong friends,” he says.
Kelly credits ServiceNow for helping her reconnect with a high school friend who works at the company. “After graduating, we lost touch,” she explains. On her first day at ServiceNow, she posted a photo on social media, and her friend happened to see it.
“We are desk buddies now,” Kelly adds with glee. “We go to lunch almost every single day, and we actually talk outside of work.”
ServiceNow is committed to helping people early in their tech careers learn and gain experience through internships in the U.S., Asia Pacific, and Europe.
