Rao SurapaneniVice President of Engineering & Head of India Product Operations

Rao leads ITSM (IT Service Management) engineering and accelerating the growth of the India development centres and operations. Rao also leads the hiring for top talent and growing capabilities in the region. He’s building high-performance teams that deliver workflow solutions for our global customers.

Prior to joining ServiceNow in 2014, Rao gathered diverse experience while working in startups and large companies to drive innovation at scale and deliver customer value. He’s led engineering and data science teams to deliver predictive and proactive experiences across consumer products on various devices including Xbox and mobile.

Rao graduated from NIT Warangal with a BTech in Computer Science, and from Univeristy of Kentucky, Lexington with an MS in Computer Science. He later went on to earn his MBA degree from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
