Hossein Nowbar is President and Chief Legal Officer at ServiceNow, where he leads the company’s global legal, ethics, governance, compliance, risk, corporate and government affairs, ServiceNow.org, impact, and sustainability organizations. In this role, he works closely with the executive leadership team and the board of directors to advance responsible innovation, strengthen trust, and support ServiceNow’s long-term growth strategy.

Hossein brings more than three decades of experience at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy. He is a trusted advisor on critical issues including artificial intelligence, privacy and security, intellectual property, and global regulatory matters, with deep experience navigating complex legal and policy environments at scale.

Prior to joining ServiceNow, Hossein spent more than 25 years at Microsoft Corporation, most recently serving as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Vice President. During his tenure, he held increasingly senior leadership roles across Microsoft’s corporate and legal affairs functions, including serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and as frontline legal counsel to some of the company’s most strategic businesses, including Cloud and AI.
