Meeting the demands of growth and geography
Davies is a specialist professional services and technology firm, working in partnership with leading insurance and highly regulated businesses around the globe. The organization employs over 7,500 people across 10 countries, a figure which triples roughly every three years.
With such a rapid rate of growth and a wide geography within its remit, it’s clear that a robust and scalable IT infrastructure is a key factor in maintaining this trajectory.
Davies counts ServiceNow as a key operational platform for its business, providing a single platform for IT and beyond, neatly aligning with the organization’s strategy of consolidation across the business.
To date, Davies has deployed IT Service Management (ITSM) to support its IT operations team, as well as Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) in its procurement department. Implementing HAM and SAM has been key in helping these department gain greater oversight into the organization’s hardware and software estate, with real-time data and dashboards providing maximal oversight.
Davies is also soon to go live with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), with the aspiration to deliver a single tool to cover the project management process from end-to-end, providing a single enterprise-wide view of demand and projects.
All of this work is underpinned by Davies’ use of ServiceNow Impact Guided. The program has helped the organization kickstart CMDB health checks, undertake security initiatives, and build out its ServiceNow roadmap. Impact Guided has also helped reduce the impact of product updates, reducing upgrade implementation from 4 weeks to just 2 weeks.
