Meet Kastine: Fulfilling her purpose through family legacy and service

Kastine E., ServiceNow account executive, basketball player, history preserver, and basketball referee

ServiceNow Account Executive Kastine E. is passionate about helping others in both her professional and personal lives. That drive began at an early age, thanks to being raised in a family of athletes who helped instill in her the importance of determination and teamwork.

Kastine’s father played in the NFL for the New York Jets, and her brother excelled in collegiate basketball. It seemed only natural for Kastine to follow in their footsteps and continue the family legacy.

Holding the team together

“A lot of what I learned from sports as a child helped me earn a scholarship to the University of Kentucky,” she says, “where I played on the women’s basketball team for four years.”

Her coach, Matthew Mitchell, described Kastine as “the glue that holds the team together.” That quality continues to shine through Kastine in her role on the ServiceNow.org team, where she supports nonprofit organizations in adopting digital technology to create greater impact.

“By fostering collaboration and leveraging our network, we’re opening doors for nonprofits to access the same technologies that major global companies use,” Kastine explains. “This helps them scale their impact and grow sustainably.”

Preserving history: A family affair

Kastine takes supporting nonprofits seriously inside and outside her professional work. She’s deeply invested in helping to restore Historic Pleasant Grove School in South Carolina. The school served Black students, including her grandfather, between the 1930s and 1950s.

When segregation ended, the school closed. Kastine’s great-grandmother purchased the building and turned it into a community center.

Today, Kastine and her family work to preserve the historic site. "There’s so much family history in this project," she says, noting that the school’s street name is a nod to her great-great-grandparents.

In May, Kastine took time off work to go to South Carolina and fundraise for the school project. While there, she received a surprise. “My dad called to tell me that my ServiceNow team had donated $1,000 to the cause,” she says. “It was incredibly heartfelt to see my colleagues using their own resources to support my family’s initiative.”

Staying connected

Beyond Kastine’s contributions to ServiceNow and nonprofit work, she remains connected to her athletic roots as a referee for the NBA G League and men’s college basketball. “Officiating allows me to stay close to the game that gave me so much,” she says.

Kastine fully embraces ServiceNow’s commitment to empowering employees to do their best work, live their best lives, and fulfill our purpose together. “It’s incredibly important to me to be part of an organization that celebrates my work both inside and outside the company,” she says.
