A chief data officer said something a few weeks ago that stuck with me. Her analysts worked in a separate environment from her operations team, and the two never quite agreed. By the time a key finding, such as a customer about to churn, had made it from the analytics layer into the system of work, numbers were reinterpreted and context was lost. The insight was siloed from the action.

Her experience echoes something I wrote a few months ago about why ServiceNow acquired Pyramid Analytics and the future I saw in connecting an analytical insight to the accelerated pace of work.

That acquisition closed in March, and today ServiceNow® Autonomous Data Analytics is here.

To underscore our arrival on the scene, I also want to share the latest news from the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms. ServiceNow (including recently acquired Pyramid Analytics) was named a Visionary for its ability to execute and completeness of vision.

ServiceNow (Pyramid Analytics) was also ranked No. 1 across every use case in the companion 2026 Critical Capabilities for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms report.

The future of analytics

This is the future of analytics on the ServiceNow AI Platform, the same platform where the work already happens. Data doesn’t have to be moved and reconciled across systems before someone can act on it. And increasingly, AI agents can take the next step on their own, remediating issues and saving humans time.

Customers are already running this at scale, bolstered by Pyramid’s robust semantic model:

  • The Foschini Group cut a core reporting cycle from three-and-a-half days to 10 minutes.
  • Universal Health Services runs analytics about 75% faster than before.
  • The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs supports more than 60,000 users with just two admins.
  • ABB serves 4,000 users across 80 countries.

Every organization is working out how to use AI agents to solve operational problems. An agent is only as good as the underlying data and context it can query. Analytics paired with trusted, unified data is what gives organizations the confidence to run AI agents on real customer, financial, and operations data.
