John Castelly is Senior Vice President of Legal and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at ServiceNow. With over 20 years of experience, John is a seasoned legal executive with a proven track record of building and scaling global organizations. His expertise spans various industries, including financial services, investment management, fintech, and SaaS.

As the architect of ServiceNow's comprehensive global ethics and compliance program, John is committed to driving business impact through automation. He oversees critical functions such as go-to-market compliance, export and trade regulation, AI ethics and data governance, and foundational programs like corporate investigations, anti-bribery and corruption, regulatory change management, and ethics awareness.

Before joining ServiceNow, John held significant roles at leading organizations. As Special Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, he provided strategic advice on enforcement matters and contributed to accurate interpretations of securities laws. He also served as legal counsel at Morgan Stanley and TD Ameritrade, and played a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and scaling compliance and risk organizations at innovative companies like Personal Capital and Robinhood.

John is a graduate of Columbia Law School and a native New Yorker.
