Evaluate full data migration

  • When you have completed the migration process, review the results.

    Before you begin

    Role required: To perform the full migration and activate Platform Analytics experience: admin. Users with other admin roles (pa_admin, report_admin, and dashboard_admin) have access to the Migration Center to evaluate the migration.

    About this task

    As soon as your data has been migrated, you see the results of the migration. Review the fully migrated content and the content migrated in compatibility mode. You can compare all migrated content with the original Core UI versions.

    Procedure

    1. In the Migration Center, select an item from the Fully migrated column, Dashboards, Visualizations, Reports, PA Widgets, or Interactive Filters to review a list of all of the migrated items.

    2. Choose the Compare link for any dashboard to see the Core UI and migrated content back to back.

    3. Select the Compatibility mode tab to compare content in the Core UI dashboard and the content migrated in compatibility mode.
    4. Select View Logs links to review issues associated with each migrated element.
    5. Select Activate to complete the migration process.
      Any menu item previously connected to Core UI dashboards and reports automatically redirects to the new migrated version.

      Both Core UI and Platform Analytics experience dashboards and visualizations sit side by side in the Platform Analytics library.
