The Dashboards Overview in ServiceNow provides a centralized interface for accessing dashboards you have permissions for, including those linked to specific groups or all available dashboards. It helps you quickly find and open dashboards via categorized views and search functionality.

Access the Dashboards Overview by navigating to All > Self-Service > Dashboards or All > Performance Analytics > Dashboards. The default view is the Recent category, displaying up to nine dashboards you have visited most recently.
Key Features
- Dashboard Categories:
- Recent: Shows your nine most recently accessed dashboards.
- Owned by me: Dashboards you created or own.
- Shared with me: Dashboards shared with you as a user or via groups/roles.
- All: All dashboards accessible to you.
- Grouping and Sorting: Dashboards can be filtered by dashboard groups, including a default 'Other' group for dashboards without a specified group. Tabs (except Recent) are sorted ascending by group order, group name, dashboard order, and dashboard name. Owners can assign order numbers to prioritize display.
- Dashboard Tiles: Each tile shows a thumbnail of widgets, dashboard group, your access level (Owner, Editor, Viewer), dashboard name, and owner. Access restrictions are clearly indicated with error messages prompting contact with administrators if needed.
- Search Functionality: Use the search box to find dashboards by name or group.
- Dashboard Picker Compatibility: If Platform Analytics experience is enabled, dashboards from both Core UI and Platform Analytics are shown.
- Create New Dashboards: A New button allows you to create responsive dashboards directly from the overview.

- Shared with me shows the dashboards which have been shared with you as a user, or member of a group or role.
- All shows all the dashboards that you have access to.
If Platform Analytics experience is enabled, the dashboard picker shows both Core UI and Platform Analytics experience dashboards.

The owner of the dashboard can specify an order number in the dashboard group's form. This field is optional.
