Duplicate, delete, copy to another exploration, or move an answer in an exploration

Duplicate, delete or reorder an individual question and response from inside an exploration. Yiou can also copy a response to another exploration.

Before you begin

Role required: now_assist_explorer_user and editing rights to the exploration

About this task

Duplicate a response when you want to modify a response slightly while preserving the unmodified version, such as seeing what the response looks like with a different group-by value. You could also duplicate a response and refresh only one version, to compare the old and new values.

Copy a response when you want to share only a response, not the whole exploration, with another user. Copy the response to an existing exploration that the user can access, or copy it to a new exploration and share that exploration with the user. You can use this function to give yourself an editable version of the response in an exploration you own.

Procedure

1. Launch AI Data Explorer.
   See Launch AI Data Explorer.
2. Open the exploration that contains a question and answer that you want to duplicate, delete, copy and send, or move.
   See Open an existing exploration.
3. Point the cursor at the question and answer.
   A control appears next to the question and answer.
4. Point at the control, which is a rectangle of dots.
   
5. Move, duplicate, copy, or delete the question and response.
   • To move the response, hold the control and drag the block to a different location in the exploration.
   • To duplicate the response, tap the control and select Duplicate. The duplicate of the response appears immediately after the original.
   • To copy the response to another exploration, tap Copy to.... You are given the choice of copying the response to an existing exploration or a new exploration.
   • To delete the response, tap the control and select Delete.
