    Key features

The dashboard offers multiple data visualizations to analyze URL access patterns:

    • All visited URLs: Displays total number of URLs visited across managed devices since a specified date; shown only when Broad discovery is enabled.
    • Top 5 URLs with the most visits: Bar chart showing the five URLs with the highest visit counts since a given date.
    • Targeted URLs visited by category: Donut chart showing distribution of targeted URL visits grouped by URL category; data updates daily via aggregation jobs.
    • Targeted URLs visited: Lists URLs configured for monitoring; selecting a URL provides detailed information; supports filtering.
    • Other URLs visited: Lists non-targeted URLs accessed when Broad URL discovery is enabled; allows adding URLs to targeted discovery with associated metadata.

    Using Targeted Discovery

ServiceNow customers can convert URLs from the "Other URLs visited" list into targeted URLs for monitoring by providing the following details:

    • Internal or External: Specifies if the domain is internal or external (default is External).
    • Category: Assign a URL category.
    • Product: Associate a product with the domain.
    • Publisher: Indicate the product publisher.
    • Application Service: Link an application service to the domain.

After saving, the URL is monitored and appears in the Targeted URLs visited section. Note that mapping a SAM product to a URL requires the samuser role.

    Practical Benefits

    • Gain visibility into web domain usage across managed devices
    • Identify popular URLs and categorize usage patterns
