    Access and Roles

To access the dashboard, navigate to Cloud Discovery Workspace > Cloud Discovery > Schedules. Users require the sncloudopsws.cloudopsadmin role to view and manage the dashboard content.

    Key Features

    • Resource and CI Metrics: View counts of total Configuration Items (CIs) discovered, newly discovered CIs, and CIs absent from the previous discovery run.
    • Error Tracking: Monitor the number of discovery errors encountered during the selected discovery run.
    • Duration Tracking: See the time taken to complete the discovery run.
    • Reports: Includes bar charts showing resource counts and time taken for the last 10 discovery runs associated with the selected schedule.
    • Filtering and Sorting: Filter schedules by cloud provider or schedule name and sort by alphabetical order, error counts, or discovery status. Only the last 10 discovery runs are available for selection in reports.

    Use Cases and Users

Administrators and discovery operators can leverage the dashboard to:

    • Track CI discovery trends and resource counts over multiple runs.
    • Identify new and missing CIs between discovery runs to maintain accurate CMDB data.
    • Analyze errors and duration to improve discovery efficiency and reliability.

    Important Notes

    • The Newly discovered and Absent from last indicators apply only to pattern-based discoveries.
    • Cloud Discovery Workspace will be hidden and not activated on new instances moving forward, though it remains supported for existing customers.
    • For the most updated experience, transition to the Discovery Admin Workspace, as detailed in the ServiceNow knowledge base.

The Cloud Discovery schedules dashboard displays information about the selected discovery run.

    Important:
Starting with the Zurich release, Cloud Discovery Workspace is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances, but will continue to be supported. Discovery Admin Workspace provides the latest experience for this functionality. For details, see the Application/Plugin Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support knowledge base.
