View an alert analysis by Now Assist in Service Operations Workspace

View an alert analysis by Now Assist for an alert on the alert's Overview tab in the Service Operations Workspace. Alert analyses include a human-readable brief of the alert and technical information to help you investigate the alert more effectively.

Before you begin

• Install the ITOM plugin in the Now Assist feature. For more information, see Install the Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM) plugin.
• View important information about the Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM) application in Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM).

Note:

Currently, Now Assist for ITOM only supports tag-based, CMDB, Log Analytics, Mixed, Automated, and Network Traffic-based alert groups. For all other alert group types, it only analyzes the parent alert.

Important:

This Now Assist skill is turned on by default. The skill will be automatically available to appropriate role users for the application. For more information, see Now Assist skills, agents, and agentic workflows on by default.

Role required: evt_mgmt_user, evt_mgmt_operator

Procedure

1. Navigate to Workspace Experience > Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.
2. Select the List icon ().
3. In the Alerts list, select All Alerts.
4. Select an alert.
   The alert opens in a separate tab, displaying the Overview subtab.
5. In the Analysis section, select Analyze alert.
6. Review the information provided in the alert analysis.
