Launch an alert analysis from the Now Assist panel

Initiate an alert analysis from the Now Assist panel. The alert analysis displays directly in the Now Assist panel for convenient review.

Before you begin

• Install the ITOM plugin in the Now Assist feature. For more information, see Install the Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM) plugin.
• View important information about the ServiceNow® Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM) application in Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM).

Role required: evt_mgmt_operator

Procedure

1. Navigate to Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.
2. Select the List icon () in the navigation bar.
3. Select Lists > Alerts > All Alerts.
4. Initiate an alert analysis from the Now Assist panel using one of the available methods.

   Launch an alert analysis	Procedure
   From the list	Select the Now Assist panel icon (). The Now Assist panel displays. Enter an alert analysis request, including the alert number, in the field at the bottom of the panel. Note: If you provide incomplete information, Now Assist prompts you for the missing details. The alert analysis displays in the panel.
   From an alert form	Open an alert. Select the Now Assist panel icon (). The Now Assist panel displays. Select Perform alert analysis. The alert analysis displays in the panel.

5. Optional: Enter follow-up questions or requests.
   For example: Summarize the analysis or Show alert severity.
