Connections found by Service Mapping during top-down discovery
When top-down discovery reaches an IIS server, Service Mapping identifies the specific website and application or virtual directory serving the entry point, not just the IIS server itself. Service Mapping creates a connection from the entry point to the matching IIS Virtual Directory [cmdb_ci_iisdirectory] CI. The resulting service map shows the application running on IIS rather than a generic host-level node.
