Assign alerts in Express List

  • Assign alerts in Express List to yourself, to someone else, or to an assignment group to balance your organization's work load.

    Before you begin

    Role required: evt_mgmt_operator, evt_mgmt_admin
    Note:
    The evt_mgmt_user role is view-only and does not have permission to perform this action.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.
    2. From the navigation bar, select the Express list icon .
    3. Select the check box next to the alert number that you want to assign.
      Note:
      You can perform the action on up to 1,000 alerts simultaneously by selecting the Select All check box in the Active alerts list. Select All check box.
    4. Select the Close drop-down list.
      Option to acknowledge the alert.
    5. Perform one of the following actions.
      AssignmentActions
      Yourself Select Assign to you and then select OK.
      Someone else
      1. Select Assign to.
      2. Select the name of the person to whom you want to assign the alert from the Assigned to field.
      3. (Optional) Enter information about the assignment or alert in the Work notes field.
      4. Select the Assign <number> alerts button.
      Assignment group
      1. Select Assign to.
      2. Select the name of the group from the Assignment group field.
      3. Select the name of the person to whom you want to assign the alert from the Assigned to field.
      4. (Optional) Enter information about the assignment or alert in the Work notes field.
      5. Select the Assign <number> alerts button.

    Result

    The assigned person appears in the Assigned to column and the assignment group appears in the Assignment group column in the Express List pane.
