Delete a lineage
Delete a lineage to remove a specific connection or node from the hierarchy of a processing activity.

Role required: Privacy analyst, Privacy manager, Privacy admin
About this task
You can delete a relationship in the following methods:
- Delete a relationship: Removes only the specific connection between two nodes. The nodes themselves remain in the system and their other relationships are not affected.
- Delete a node: Removes the node and all of its relationships within the current hierarchy. This affects only the hierarchy of the current processing activity. The node record itself is not deleted from the system.
Procedure

To delete a relationship:
- Open the processing activity record.
- Navigate to the Hierarchy tab.
- Select View lineage map to open the graphical view.
- Select the arrow between the two nodes whose relationship you want to delete and select Remove.
- Select Remove in the confirmation dialog box.

To delete a node:
- Open the processing activity record.
- Navigate to the Hierarchy tab.
- Select View lineage map to open the graphical view.
- Select the node you want to remove.
- From the details pane on the right, expand the drop-down arrow and select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
