The visual dashboard provides insights into ongoing processing activities. Privacy managers and compliance officers can identify potential compliance risks. Data privacy initiatives can be managed more effectively.
The privacy manager develops and maintains company policies and regulations. A privacy manager has the sn_privacy.manager role. Privacy managers do the following:
- Manage and monitor the overall organization-level privacy risk and compliance posture. The risk and compliance posture represents the overall status of an organization’s risk and compliance. It spans across business processes, business applications, and related areas. Assessment is based on risk scores and the compliance status of controls. Evaluation includes both compliant and non-compliant controls across various regulations.
- Develop and implement privacy regulations, authority documents, policies, and privacy risk statements.
- Review privacy regulatory requirements and policies.
- Design and monitor risks and controls to deal with breaches of privacy regulations and internal policies.
- Plan privacy programs and scope entities.
- Create privacy impact assessment templates.
- Perform privacy risk assessments to understand the criticality of the processing activities.
- Continuously monitor control effectiveness and suggest effective improvements.
- Supervise the privacy compliance team.
- Report the compliance posture to management and the board of directors.
