Risk Workspace for the business operational risk manager
Business operational risk managers are the first lines of defense for each individual line of business. They are responsible to manage the risk posture of their specific business units.
A business operational risk manager has the role sn_risk_workspace.business_op_risk_manager. As
a business operational risk manager, you can do the following in your workspace.
- Filter the appropriate risk assessment methodology to view the relevant data.
- View the performance of your entity by viewing the number of top risks.
- View the number of key risk indicators that have failed.
- The net loss beginning the first day of the current calendar year or fiscal year up to the current date.
- Create risks, risk events, and indicators.
- View the operational risk trends such as the not assessed risks and new risks identified in the last 30 days.
- View the risks by category.
- View the control status, the number of new controls, and the number of controls not attested.
- View the number of overdue issues and the number of new issues.

To view the risk assessments for the top risks for your entities, click the Top risks card.
The heatmap on the workspace gives critical insights into the risks when you select each tile of the heatmap. You can use the filter on the heatmap to view either the inherent risk posture or the residual risk posture. For more information, see Risk heatmap workbench.
