    • Summarize an issue by using the Now Assist for Integrated Risk Management (IRM) application. Use a summary to get quick context and awareness about an issue.

    Before you begin

    Note:
    The Issue Summarization skill is activated by default, unless you manually deactivate it. For more information, see Activate Now Assist skills in Now Assist for Integrated Risk Management (IRM).

    Role required: sn_grc_genai.issue_user and sn_irm_gen_ai.user

    About this task

    The intelligence of Now Assist analyzes the issue records including the description, activity log, and remediation tasks. By using the issue summarization skill, you can generate a concise summary that captures the essential information that you need.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Risk Workspace.
    2. Navigate to Issues and open any New, In progress, or Closed issue.
      Note:

      Check your entitlements to determine whether you have access to the issue summarization skill.

    3. Select Summarize under the Overview tab.
      A summary of all the important details, such as the issue definition, actions taken, remediation tasks, and many more is generated.
    4. Optional: After the summary is generated, view details about it, save it, expand, or collapse it, provide feedback, copy it, or regenerate it.

      The summaries that are generated by AI might miss key details. You might prefer to review the summary for accuracy and completeness before you proceed.

      Select the information icon (Info icon) next to the issue summarized by Now Assist.
      Save the summary information by adding it to the issue work notes
      1. Select Share to work notes.
      2. Verify the AI-generated content in the modal for accuracy and make any edits.
      3. Select Save to work notes.
      Expand or collapse the summary

      Select the expand icon () or collapse icon () next to Share to work notes to expand or collapse the summary.
      Provide feedback

      Select the helpful icon () for positive feedback. Select the not helpful icon () if the summary wasn't helpful.

      Note:
      Feedback improves the generative AI model and can help to improve future versions of this skill.
      Copy the summary

      Select the copy icon () to copy the summary to the clipboard.
      Regenerate the summary If you think that data might have changed after you viewed the summary, select the redo icon to regenerate the summary information.

    Result

    A summary is generated for the issue through the issue summarization skill.
