Set up risk rating scales for scoring

  • The risk rating scale helps business users better understand risk assessment results. For example, in the default settings, risk scores in the 20 through 39 range indicate high risk, while scores in the 60 through 79 range indicate low risk.

    Before you begin

    Role required: admin or sn_vdr_risk_asmt.vendor_risk_manager

    About this task

    Note:
    Many organizations find that the default settings represent their needs appropriately and don’t change the settings.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Third-party Risk Management > Assessment Setup > Risk Rating Scale to modify or refine the Risk Rating Scale.

      The base system includes five ratings. You can customize their maximum and minimum values.

    2. Refine the existing values.
      1. Hover over the risk rating you want to update and select the information icon to preview the Risk Rating Scale record.
      2. Select Open Record in the Default risk rating scale pop-up.
        Open a Risk record.
    3. Customize the Minimum and Maximum to adjust the lowest and highest value that falls in the risk rating scale range.
    4. Select Update.
