Application setup and prerequisites
- Ensure the latest versions of key plugins are installed, including Employee Center Pro, HR Service Delivery Integration with Workday 3.0.0, Workday HR Spoke, Human Resources Scoped App: Core, and Enterprise Service Management Integrations Framework.
- Requires HRSD Pro/Enterprise license with Employee Center Pro; the integration is not available for standalone Employee Center Pro.
- Familiarize yourself with the Enterprise Service Management Integrations Framework and Workday HR Spoke, including connections and credentials setup.
- Activate and run scheduled flows to pull Workday record details into ServiceNow.
- Be aware that Request for Change Approvals (RCAs) generated post-installation require manual approval unless automated using the EC bulk RCAs approval script.
Workday approvals workflow
This integration supports managing various Workday approval request types (todos) from Employee Center Pro, including:
- Job Change Requests
- Job Requisition Requests
- Leave of Absence Requests
- Spend Authorization Requests
- Termination Requests
- Time Off and Correct Time Off Requests
- Timesheet Requests
- Compensation Change Requests
These todos are available in Open and Completed statuses by default, providing approvers with detailed, in-context information to make informed decisions.
Fetching Workday reports and configuration
- Administrators can fetch report metadata from Workday and other business applications to view comprehensive reports on leaves, compensation, and other employee data within ServiceNow.
- One-time configuration parameters allow the setup of task synchronization from Workday to ServiceNow, ensuring timely and accurate approval tasks are available.
