Starting with the Orlando release, Lifecycle Events for Enterprise consists of two plugins, which customers activate based on their HR Service Delivery package:
- Lifecycle Events [com.snhrlifecycleevents]: Configures digital workflows for managing employee lifecycle events within HR.
- Lifecycle Events for Enterprise [com.snhrlifecycleent]: Automates onboarding and other lifecycle events spanning multiple departments through a unified service delivery platform. This plugin includes demo data for new hire onboarding.
Configuration Roles and Capabilities
Access and configuration permissions depend on user roles, enabling tailored control over lifecycle event setup:
- Lifecycle Event Administrator: Full administration and configuration of lifecycle events, activity sets, and activities.
- Activity Set Manager: Builds lifecycle events and activity sets; can configure activities if part of the owning group (e.g., HR).
- Activity Writer: Configures lifecycle event activities owned by their group (e.g., IT tasks like account setup).
- Activity Reader: Reads lifecycle events, activity sets, and activities without editing rights.
Using Lifecycle Events in Practice
After configuration, users with specific case roles can manage lifecycle event cases, which are HR cases fulfilled through lifecycle events:
- Lifecycle Event Case Writer: Creates, manages, and monitors lifecycle event cases.
- Lifecycle Event Case Reader: Views lifecycle event cases without modifying them.

Activation information
Beginning in the Orlando release, Lifecyle events for enterprise is comprised of two plugins. Depending on the HR Service Delivery package you choose, activate one or both of the plugins.

Configuring Lifecyle events for enterprise
Depending on your role, you can access and configure the following:
- Lifecycle event administrator
- Users with the lifecycle event administrator [sn_hr_le.admin] role can administer and configure any part of the application, including any lifecycle event and its associated activity sets and activities. For more information, see Building a lifecycle event.
- Activity set manager
- Users with the activity set manager [sn_hr_le.activity_set_manager] role can build any
lifecycle event and the associated activity sets. You can configure any lifecycle event
activity, so long as you are a member of the owning group that owns the activity. For
example, if you are a member of the HR owning group, then you can configure any activity
that is owned by the HR group, such as an employee task to watch an onboarding video or
a fulfiller task to provide relocation assistance.
- Configure a lifecycle event and the associated activity sets
- Configure a lifecycle event activity if you are a member of the associated owning group
- Activity writer
- Users with the activity writer [sn_hr_le.activity_writer] role can configure any lifecycle event activity, so long as you are a member of the owning group that owns the activity. For example, if you are a member of the IT owning group, then you can configure any activity that is owned by the IT group, such as to set up an active directory account or to set up equipment for a new employee. - Activity reader
- Users with the activity reader [sn_hr_le.activity_reader] role can read any lifecycle event and its associated activity sets and activities.
Using Lifecyle events for enterprise
Once the Lifecyle events for enterprise application is configured, users with the following roles can write and read lifecycle event cases.
- Lifecycle event case writer
- Users with the lifecycle event case writer [sn_hr_le.case_writer] role can create, manage, and monitor the status of any lifecycle event case.
- Lifecycle event case reader
- Users with the lifecycle event case reader [sn_hr_le.case_reader] role can read any lifecycle event case.
