Activate a ServiceNow Otto for Health and Safety skill

  • Activate a ServiceNow Otto for Health and Safety skill to enable the safety team to use the generative AI skills from Health and Safety Workspace and the Core UI.

    Before you begin

    Install ServiceNow Otto for Health and Safety.

    Role required: admin

    About this task

    The following table lists the skill that you can access from the AI Admin Hub console.

    The Health and Safety incident summarization skill is available in the base system with the required configurations.

    Note:

    Now LLM Service is currently the only provider for this application's skills.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > AI Admin Hub > Skills to access the AI Skills tab of the AI Admin Hub console.
    2. From the workflow list, select Employee and then select Health and Safety.
    3. On the tile for your skill, select Activate skill.
    4. In the General details section, review the details and select Save and continue.
    5. In the Choose Input section, review inputs for the selected skill.
      For information about the inputs for the skill, see Skill inputs for ServiceNow Otto for Health and Safety.Choose input data screen for skills.
    6. Select Save and continue to go to the next step.
    7. In the Select display section, review the interfaces where the skill appears.
      • In-product: When selected, the Now Assist skills are displayed on workspaces.

        For the skills that appear in-product, select the down arrow to identify the roles that can use the skill.

      • ServiceNow Otto panel: When selected, AI skills are available in the ServiceNow Otto panel. If you don't see this option, you must activate the ServiceNow Otto panel. For more information, see .

        For the skills that appear in the panel, select the down arrow to identify the roles that can use the skill.

    8. Select Save and continue.
    9. In the Review and activate section, review your choices and select Activate to complete the configuration.
      The skill is configured.
    10. In the Active skills section of the Health and Safety page, verify that the skill is active from the Status column.
