Apply a template in the Incident form

  • Use a template to apply values to an incident record. The values from the template replaces existing field values, while fields not included in the template will remain unchanged.

    Before you begin

    You must create a template before applying the template in the incident form. For more information, see Create a template from the incident form.

    Role required: itil, sn_incident_write, or admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Incident > Create New.
    2. Select the more options icon More options icon and then select Toggle Template Bar to see all templates in the template bar.

    3. Select a template to apply it on the incident record.
      When you apply the template, it replaces the existing field values with the values defined in the template and retains the values for fields not included in it. Make sure to copy the details to your clipboard before applying the template.
