Digital Product Release flow actions

Digital Product Release provides flow actions that you can use to build custom release workflows in Workflow Studio.

Familiarize yourself with Workflow Studio actions basics before starting.

To access these flow actions, navigate to All > Workflow Studio, and then select Actions. Search for Digital Product Release actions

Table 1. Flow actions available with Digital Product Release

Flow action	Description
Create release	Creates a release record with your specified input parameters.
Create out-of-band release	Creates a release record with the out-of-band release target.
Apply release template	Applies the selected template to a draft release and validates all required inputs are present and correct.
Apply template for out-of-band releases	Applies the selected template to an out-of-band draft release and validates all required inputs are present and correct.
Add product to multi-product release	Adds a product to an existing multi-product release. This action creates a child release with phases, tasks, and policies aligned to the main release.

Note:

All create release actions support single and multi-product releases with new or existing versions, and can be used for validation or non-validation releases.
